Dr. Agnese Favale

Dr. Agnese Favale is a Gastroenterologist who can be seen by appointment in Oristano at the Medici del Benessere Multi-specialty Center.

She graduated from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in the English-language course in medicine with an experimental thesis on chronic inflammatory bowel disease. While researching her thesis, she actively participated in data collection at the Policlinico di Milano foundation IRCCS Ca' Granda and at the Presidio Columbus of the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome.

Dr. Favale won an Erasmus fellowship at the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague, before obtaining her master's degree in Diseases of the Digestive System at the University of Sassari. She completed her specialization at the Policlinico Universitario di Monserrato (Cagliari). She was also the winner of a clinical fellowship during which she attended outpatient clinics for chronic inflammatory bowel disease at the A. Gemelli University Polyclinic in Rome.

She is specialized in Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), such as Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis and indeterminate colitis, and has numerous scientific publications in national and international journals, both indexed and non-indexed.

Dr. Favale also deals with esophageal problems (gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophagitis), gastric disturbances (gastritis, peptic disease), celiac disease, lower digestive tract diseases (colonic diverticulosis, colitis of various etiologies ), liver and biliary tract diseases (NAFLD, NASH, alcoholic and viral hepatitis, autoimmune diseases of the liver and biliary tract, gallbladder stones...), pancreatic diseases, and functional diseases of the digestive system in general (irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, and changes in the intestinal tract).
